I. About the experiment


Experimental purpose:

Experiment content:

Our company does the salt spray test for sodium chloride neutral smoke test (NSS), is the earliest emergence of the most widely used in the field of an accelerated corrosion test method.Rapid corrosion test method. It uses 5% sodium chloride brine solution, the solution pH adjusted in the neutral range (6 ~ 7) as a spray with the solution. Test temperature are taken 35 ℃, the required salt spray settlement rate of 1 ~ 2ml / 80cm² - h between.


Experiment length:

Surface hot-dip galvanizing, plastic-coated, PVC and other products are required to 120h no body structure rust; surface plating products generally need 24-48h.


II. The object of observation


White rust:

zinc, zinc-iron, zinc-nickel alloy plating and then NSS experiment after the corrosion of salt spray will slowly appear white rust, (NaCl will also precipitate white crystals.
(Phenolphthalein test solution can be used to distinguish.) White rust represents the surface layer began to be affected by corrosion, but does not represent the parts themselves
received corrosion of the material.


Red rust:

Iron corrosion produced by iron oxide for red embroidery, red rust means that the surface of the parts to protect the coating has been penetrated, the subject material exposed

ConclusionThe performance of the anchor remained good under 120 hours of salt spray test conditions, with no large changes affecting the use of the anchor. performance, the using did not receive any influence.
Surface coating will appear speckled peeling, peeling will produce rust spots, the main area is the movable part of the fit, the casting of the fit part, the area is less than 1/50; and will not accelerate the overall rate of peeling because of partial peeling.
